1. Information We Collect
Analytics Data
We use Google Analytics (Google LLC) to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics automatically collects:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page

- Approximate geographic location (country / region — not street address)

- Anonymous interaction events (button clicks, scroll depth)

Contact & Sponsorship Form
When you submit our sponsorship inquiry or contact form, the data you enter (name, email address, and message) is stored directly on our own servers. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell, rent, or share form submissions with third parties.
Embedded Maps
Our About page displays a map tile layer served by Esri ArcGIS. Loading these tiles may result in your IP address being sent to Esri's servers. No account or personal data is required to view the map.

3. Children's Privacy
La Crosse Robotics is a high-school robotics team whose members are primarily minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our contact and sponsorship form is intended for adults (parents, guardians, business representatives, and mentors). If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information through our site, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
Analytics data collected by Google Analytics is anonymized and aggregated; no personally identifiable information about individual visitors — including minors — is stored by us.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To understand website traffic and improve our content (analytics)
- To respond to sponsorship inquiries and contact form submissions
- To remember your accessibility and cookie preferences
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
5. Data Retention
Google Analytics retains aggregated data per Google's default retention periods. Form submissions are stored on our own servers and retained for up to one year after the inquiry is resolved. Local storage entries remain on your device until you clear them.
6. Third-Party Links
Our site links to sponsor websites and external resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- Opt out of Google Analytics tracking: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Delete form submission data: Contact us (see below) and we will delete your submission from our servers.
- Clear cookies / local storage: Use your browser's developer tools or settings at any time.
8. Security
Our site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted and stored over encrypted connections on our own servers. We do not store payment information or sensitive personal data beyond what you voluntarily provide in the contact form.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes are effective when posted. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
